Hello. My name is Edmund Johnson Smith and I found this site by googling my paternal grandfather's name, Willis Bion Smith.  He was born in 1857 in Syracuse, NY and it was told in our family that as a boy he had heard Lincoln speak.  Cool beans I thought.  I am a teacher in East Hartford CT, single, and interested in geneology.
