Advice before editing this pre-1700 Burgess profile?

I have information to contribute to the profile of Thomas Burgess. This is what I can add:

These are the sources I am using:

  • Burgess, Ebenezer, Burgess genealogy : memorial of the family of Thomas and Dorothy Burgess, who were settled at Sandwich, in the Plymouth Colony  (Boston, Ma, T. R. Marvin and Sons, 1865), Ancestry.com. Page 13
  • For birth: The New England Historical and Genealogical Society, The Register. Volume 138 (1984) page 132, "The Wife of Nathan Fish of Falmouth" (Boston, Massachusetts), The New England Historical and Genealogical Society, American Ancestors.org.

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

You've already added those sources to the profile, so thank you for that.  Presumably your question is about writing a biography.  The profile manager has been active this year, so it would be preferable to tell her what you'd like to add (in general).  If she doesn't respond in a day or two, then go ahead since you're adding information not there, not re-writing someone else's work.  There's no project involved, so that's not a consideration.
