We're glad you have joined us, Elizabeth. Be sure to let your Greeters know if you have any questions about how to do things at WikiTree.
Brompton Gore is located in Richmond-Melbourne area of the Eastern TOWNSHIPS IN Quebec Canada. Donald Bruce (b Oct 3, 1829) and Ann Cameron (b Feb 11, 1829) were married in Quebec (Feb 11, 1851) but were Scottish immigrants from Mull sometime in the early to mid 1800’s. They are my great great grandparents. Ann Cameron’s obituary says she was the daughter of Captain Archibald Cameron from Mull Scotland. Looking for Archibald Cameron information.

Donald Bruce mentioned in the record of Catharine Hamilton who was born 11 Feb 1864 at Richmond, Quebec at age 67 years and 9 months. Burial at Prospect Cemetery. Undertaker A. W. Bartlett, 1480 Queen Street.

Donald's wife is Ann Cameron, daughter is Catharine who died 11 Nov 1931 at Toronto, York, Ontario, Canada. Catharine's parents were born in Scotland.

Good morning Frank..this Donald might be related to my Ann and Donald as one of their children was named Donald. Interestingly Brompton Gore is also called Flodden which makes the search more complicated. Ann and Donald are buried in the Flodden cemetery which can be found in Find a Grave site. Very hard to locate but went there this weekend. Stepping back in time to the first generation of Scottish immigrants in that area. Thanks for responding.
I looked F.C. up and found Free Church - Presbyterian.
This makes sense. There were two Presbyterian churches in Flodden...one being the Free Church which later joined with the other one. Thank you for clarifying this for me.
