Please consider adopting Jacob de Zwaan, born in the Netherlands in 1849, the son of Willem de Zwaan and Annesje Mol. He emigrated to the United States and settled in Ottawa County, Michigan, marrying Cornelia Katherine "Kate" Vandenberg. They had a large family, which also should be adopted.

Jacob de Zwaan, Sr. (1849-1926), married Kate Vandenberg:

Cornelia Katherine (Vandenberg) de Zwaan (1858-1925):

Arennje Cornelia 'Ida" (de Zwaan) Timmer (1877-1943), married Henry Timmer:

John de Zwaan (1881-1947), married Jane Mast:

William Cornelius de Zwaan (1883-1980), married Wilhelmina "Minnie" Nyenhuis:

Hannah (de Zwaan) (Brouwer) Costen (1885-1968), married Cyrus Brouwer and Hiram Costen:

Benjamin de Zwaan (1890-1977), married Fannie Posma:

Jennie (de Zwaan) Roelofs (1890-1946), married Henry F. Roelofs:

Herman J. de Zwaan, Sr. (1892-1958), married Maria W. Van Hekken:

Gertrude (de Zwaan) Dean (1892-1981), married George W. Dean:

Jacob de Zwaan, Jr. (1895-1944), married Wilhelmina "Minnie" Van Hekken:

Leonard de Zwaan (1897-1952), married Anna Vander Zee:

Most of Jacob and Kate's children had large families, which I have referenced in their bios and most of which have sources on FamilySearch, so if you're looking for a project or some long-lost de Zwaans, you're in luck.
