Am I the only one having a problem with the “edit” answer feature on G2G?

Here lately I have noticed that it takes a minute to a minute and 15 seconds for the edit features to appear above the edit area when I edit a G2G post.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

update 1: This time delay is only happening on my laptop. There is no time delay on my iPad.  I am rebooting my computer to see if that solves the problem.

update 2: I have rebooted my computer and it is now taking one minute and 20 seconds for the edit features to appear above the edit area. (now I have lost another 5 seconds)

update 3: I have isolated the problem to be caused by the VPN that I am using. I just recently updated to a newer version, and I think that is the problem.  When I turn the VPN off, the edit features appear immediately.  When the VPN is on, the edit features take over a minute to appear.

update 4: I have updated to the latest version of the VPN and it is still taking 1 minute and 15 seconds for the edit features to appear.

update 5: The problem has been identified. There is a feature in the VPN that, when set to ON, is blocking domains used for ads, tracking and malware.  It is also interfering with the loading/displaying of some features on some web pages. On WikiTree, it is interfering with the editing features not immediately showing or not showing at all. This VPN feature is now turned off, and WikiTree is working fine for me now.

Not here. Just tested and edit box opened promptly. Made a minor edit and it took a few seconds to record and close - about the same time as always.

I'm not sure which one it's tied to, but it looks like it might be tied to either/or an outdated Java and Flash Player.

Though I could be wrong depending upon the system and the Browser.

The edit features never appeared for this comment.  I have to turn the VPN off to see the edit features.
The VPN is off and the edit features immediately appear with the comment box.
I turned the VPN back on and there is no edit features for this comment.
I see... It looks like the VPN is somehow blocking the script the server sends for the editing feature.

It's hard to explain, but I've seen similar situations where the individual figures out what scripts are being blocked and then add an exception for it on the VPN configuration.

I sent in a problem report with my VPN provider, so hopefully they will be able to figure out what the problem is.
The problem has been identified.  See "update 5" which has been added to my original post.
Just for the record, it was also interfering with the displaying of the edit features when editing profiles.  There was a long delay before the edit features would appear.  When the edit features finally appeared, anything you typed in the edit box was erased.
Thank you very much for keeping individuals here in the loop as to your situation, subsequent troubleshooting and the final culprit.

I could have listed (at least) a dozen possibilities and, though they all could have all been correct in one form or another, wouldn't be the actual case for you.

I could only help you (personally) just so much as there's many issues that really isn't a "WikiTree" specific issue as much as an individuals system, configuration, preferences, etc...

I'm not inferring that your wrong in any way at all. I'm just thankful for your keeping those here informed as to your situation and resolve that may/might apply to others with a similar/same situation as yourself.

I wish you the best of luck in your journey here my friend! :-)
