Pre-1500 English Chamberlains have no sources

Please: Could someone explain why some of the early English Chamberlayne/Chamberlain family (pre-1500) have been created without sources?

I cannot edit these profiles, because I am not pre-1500 certified as yet, but the person who created these profiles in the first place (back in 2013) has only used an Ancestry link to support the profiles. How was this possible with pre-1500 certification, or was the pre-1500 certification rule brought in after 2013?
Something which many rely on, the Early Chamberlain Family website; (the Australian owner, Ian Chamberlain, may have died - at least the e-mail contact address no longer works, and he appears to have no more internet presence) relies heavily on Burke, who is in error as regards the Chamberlaynes from Chamberlain-1467 down to Sir Thomas Chamberlayne of Prestbury, and in any case there is a broken connection between the profiles.

I have been doing extensive research into the Chamberlaynes and would love to update and correct several glaring errors in these profiles, but I cannot do so.

I can see, however, that at least one of the profiles is now included in the Magna Carta Project. That's great. Would love to be involved here and to share what I have found, for what it's worth.

Thanks.

The requirement for pre-1500 certification was apparently not introduced until early 2016 (in the list of those with pre-1500 badges, the earliest is dated 12 January 2016). I suspect the requirement for certification was introduced exactly because of the deficiencies in earlier-created profiles you have identified - but unfortunately, the job of cleaning up the pre-2016 mess has by no means yet been completed, and the strict requirements now imposed for pre-1500 certification (and consequently the small number of those with the certification) means that there is little manpower to devote to this task.

I also think Gedcom loads allowed those profiles to be loaded, but not now.

Well, I was awarded my pre-1500 badge in March 2016, and I think I was one of the first, so maybe the certification wasn't around yet when the Chamberlain profiles were created.
