My name is Etta. I am researching my great grandfather, Charles Stevenson, born in North Carolina around 1838. He migrated to Travis/Williamson county,Texas sometime before the Civil War. He was married to Clara Allen and later to Julia Renfro. I am trying to identify his parents and siblings. I have searched public ally available records including the census, marriage and death indexes. I have begun searching the North Carolina state archives for probates, wills and land records.
