I have an Adam brown Married to Elizabeth dickson canongate 1786 mans servant to a man named Blair.

He later became a horse trainer in Gullane dirleton as found on death of his daughter Elizabeth.

By any miracle I don’t suppose you can help me go further back

No death certificate found for Adam and he supposedly passed in Gullane

I believe he was employed in Stanford House Gullane but that’s not been confirmed

Go back to your question here.  Bottom right of it are a set of tiny text links.  One is 'edit'.  When you edit, add the tag 'scotland' (without the quotes) to draw the attention of the Scotland Project. :)
