Does anyone know where Conner Ford Virginia was located?

Could the Ford mean a river crossing near some Conner or Connor land holding?
Yes, I believe that it is.   The reference also refers to Rockbridge County.

After a little searching...

I don't believe that this specific name is an actual location in Virginia. It's possible that the name may be Misspelled in one form or another.

laugh I agree, I also searched and while there are Ford this and Ford that in VA, none were Conner ... there was a Conner Grove, or Conner's Grove or Conners Grove (w/o the possessive ' ) but no Ford

I also tried variations like "Connerford" and "Connorford" in Virginia with no luck.

If it's from an older source, It also could be a place that changed its name, merged with another place, close enough to another states boarder and is now in that state or something to that effect.

Sorry for the news... :-)

Hi Michelle! I did find a reference to a Conner's Ford in a Louisa County, Virginia deed. But I do think there could have been many where any group of Conners lived long enough near a river to call it that :) There are only about 4 Conner men living in Rockbridge (from tax records) during the 1806-1809 period when William is "missing" between his marriage and arriving in Kentucky.
