is there a way to add internal links to either the private view of my profile or the private view of my G2G profile so that i can customize my navigation and open a minimum number of page tabs?

where do i put these?  ideally, i want these links to show up near the top so i don't have to scroll down to see them.
It's best to put them in your scratch pad on Your "My Wikitree" home page.
where do i find scratch pad?  i just ran a browser find for "pad" and i found 2 instances of it in my comments and nowhere else.
On your profile page there are those tabs at the very top right.  One of those says "My Wikitree".  If you click that, not on the dropdown, just the tab, it will take you to the page where the scratch pad lives.

The scratch pad is found here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Home

Richard, the links you describe are external links. I read Phil's post to indicate he is seeking internal links for navigating within the profile. Phil, can you please clarify?

i want to keep a set of interesting links of pages of special interest with a quick and easy way to get there.  Melanie led me to the tabs at the top right.  somehow my mind led me to thinking those were dropdown only.

now i'm at the scratchpad and have added some links.  now my local icon to login to wikitree only needs to start one page (the navigation page).  Thanks everyone.

If your Navigation Home Page does not have the scratch pad, here is how to make sure it is there:

Go to 'My WikiTree' (dropdown top right)

Scroll down until you find 'Settings'

When you are in 'Settings', scroll down until you find the section 'Navigation Home Page'.  This is where you can choose what appears, and one of the choices is 'scratch pad'.

Don't forget to click on 'Save Changes'; the dark green button at the foot of the page!

I keep my useful links in there.

the problem was that i only knew about the profile page as a place to login.  now that i know of, and the URL fo, the navigation page, things a working out better.  i don't have to put all these pages in my browser startup.  i had five pages there.  now i need only one.
