The eight hour system (or day) has meant different things to different people over time. Earl D Cooper (1885-1959) managed the 300,000 acre holdings of Frank Baughman, served as president of the Kansas Board of Realtors, and found time for a slew of charitable endeavors such as overseeing a hospital and the founding of a city library.
In a letter to the the National Association of Real Estate Boards he wrote that his efforts were "very strictly on the eight hour system, that is eight hours before noon and eight hours after noon." I know that WikiTree has a number of Leaders and members who are also on Earl's eight hour system!
(Now wondering if Ruben has video footage of Earl?)
