Orphaned locked profile?

Question

A first for me, I ran into this locked orphaned profile while looking for duplicates, how to unlock it. 

Should be a quick merge, as its using same FindAGrave profile as Spell-878

Yes I saw that, but I dont want to adopt it, was just trying to merge it into the duplicate profile.

You could explain that when you email.

I'm afraid you are still going to have to write to info @ wikitree.com, as only they will be able to complete a merge that includes a profile with such a high privacy level.  They may even change the privacy to Open, suggest that you adopt it temporarily, complete the merge, then orphan it.  That's one way.  See what they say.

Christina, even in cases where the profile is not privacy locked, you should still adopt it before making any major edits. Because there are conditions that could cause it to be auto-privacy locked after the first edit, making it impossible to complete your edits.

You can then revert any unnecessary privacy changes, and un-adopt it when you're done.

Considering both profiles seem to be created by the same person, I've left a message for the manager of the duplicate to check it out.
