My name is Robert Smith. My mother was Hilda Irene Jersey. I believe Robert Jersey (of the round barn) was her uncle.

You are discussing the daughter, Hilda, of Francis Lyman Jersey (1857-1931) | WikiTree FREE Family Tree ? This is a Canadian family, Quebec

Frank married Martha Larocque, on 13 Nov. 1895.

daughter -- Hilda Irene, b. 12 March 1901; m. Willard Giles Smith, 11 Sept. 1937; d. 12 Oct. 1948,

What is the round barn? There are photos on Frank's profile but none of a barn.

The "Red Barn" that I mentioned apparently is a tourist attraction in Mansonville, P.Q . It was built by Robert E. Jersey, who is the uncle of my mother, Hilda Irene Jersey.

See photo of the Red Barn on Robert Jersey's profile at - and he is indeed listed as a brother of Francis Jersey.

So if the Hilda Irene Jersey who was born 12 March 1901 and married Willard Giles Smith in 1937 is indeed your mother, then yes, Robert, the Robert Jersey of Round Barn fame is your granduncle.

Once you have upgraded to full membership as a Wiki Genealogist (which is free - see you will be able to add a profile for your mother and then link her to Francis Jersey and the rest of the Jersey family.

Robert, Welcome to WikiTree, and thank you for introducing yourself in the g2g forum. This is the perfect place to come to ask questions about your relatives. You will find many of our members willing to help you with any questions you ask.

If you upgrade to a Family Member account, you would be able to add Jersey as a tag, and you will be connected everyone on WikiTree that is associated with that name.

Once again, Welcome to WikiTree.
