Why?

Profiles don't actually need to be adopted. There's no real need for them to be managed. They can still be edited and maintained by anyone.

Yes, of course, but that is the guidance (create the profile, post the profile for adoption) currently being offered by the administrators of the Integrators Project. And, in my very humble opinion, a profile with a project manager is superior to one without. Over the course of creating profiles to respond to the 'Needs Profiles Created' category, I have matched up at least a dozen members with profiles for family members.

I was not aware of that guidance. Personally, I don't think its necessary.

Superior? Nah, I think they're still on equal footing. Its simply not possible for every profile to have a manager.
