G2G: Looking for family of Daniel Thomas Moody

Question

I have a dead end with my great grandfather Daniel Thomas Moody born 29th January 1864 Macon Missouri. Death 24 March 1933 Monticello Utah. I can not find his father or mother.

Hi Linda, the best thing to do is add family, starting with parents, grandparents and then on up the tree, remembering to always have at least one appropriate source. This might give us extra info to search with, thanks.

Apparently his father was born about 1845 in the Free Irish State, Ireland -- his father is cited on Daniel's death record but according to the 1920 Utah Census, Daniel's father is recorded as born in Missouri AND in the 1930 Census Daniel's father is cited as born in Ireland 

You might want to examine the Missouri census records 1850 through 1900 at least in Missouri for a Moody born in Ireland

I know that on Daniel T. Moody death report it states his father is Dwight L Moody from Ireland, but I think that is not the name of his father . Times and places do not match up. I can not find the birth certificate of Daniel Thomas Moody which would have his fathers and mother name. He was born in Macon Missouri the 29 of January 1864.
