I personally never look for recognition as I believe that, the more an individual contributes to the community throughout WikiTree, the more they will stand out from others.

With that stated...

I also believe that Recognition is important to individuals and helps provide a certain level of accomplishment & encouragement for maintaining what it is they're being recognized for.

I don't really know if/what accomplishments are highlighted/notified to those that may follow them.

This is only my opinion/suggestion/input... LOL! :-)

Oh, they haven't noticed for me yet - and I'm at 49K points now.

If you do want the badge, you may want to respond to this post so that Eowyn (who has to manually award the badge) will notice.
