I have posted a marriage record for Marie Hache to Pierre Doucet. The record verifies her parents names and that she was the widow of Joseph Arsenault. Her marriage date is what I question. Is it "dix Sep 7br" (17 September) -or- "dix Septmbr" (10 September) ?     The project lists it as 17 September, but it looks more like 10 September to me.  As I am not part of the project, I will leave it up to the project managers to decide which they want to use now that an actual copy of the record is attached to the profile.

7br is a common abbreviation for September in Catholic Church records. I find it odd that the month would be written twice. A possible solution would be the look at the two records immediately preceding and following and look at the dates.
It's all about lack of punctuation.  10 is dix.  17 is dix-Sep.   It is either "September" or "Sep 7br".  So it depends on whether the Sep goes with the day or month.   If they had used more spacing it may have been easier to decipher !

I believe this is 10 September as 17 would be written "dix-sept" in French.

You could also add the tag for French Translation help to this post!

That is what I see, but they project is listing it as 17 September.   Posted it for the powers-to-be to decide as I am not part of the Acadian Project.
