I am currently working on the Hildreth Name Study. When I put the Category on a profile, that profile ID appears on the Name Study page. It would be helpful to have the profile IDs also appear in a separate section, lower on the page, by State/locality, so we could look at relationships and geographical moves. I would prefer to have the State subsection with its list of profiles on the same page but below the main list of profiles.
Each profile would show up in at least two placeson the main page: the main list and the State/locality list. (My dream would be to have this down to Town in State.) If that can’t be done, a separate page for the State lists would be acceptable.
It occurs to me that there must be a techie way to do an “if … then …’ type of statement. I could have a category “Hildreth Name Stady”, then if the profile also has the category “Chelmsford Massachusetts,’ that profile would show up both on the Hildreth Name Study page and on the Hildreth – Chelmsford, MA section of the State page.
It can be done manually, but I’m looking for a shortcut without too many extra steps and without junking up the profile with to many separate Categories. Any techie up for the challenge?
