If a PM doesn't have a WikiTree ID?

Question

I have just realised that the PM for many of my husband's ancestors does not have an ID number on her profile page, there is a profile number on the link but not on the page.

Is this something strange?

She hasn't been on WikiTree since 2012 when she uploaded a Gedcom.

That's one of the reasons I have been trying to contact her, almost all of her profiles have no sources, biography etc except ones I have added.

 I have tried to contact her many times for 5+ years through other sites where the same Gedcom and info has been entered with no replies.

When you say that Jolene doesn't have her WikiTree ID number showing on her page, do you mean that she doesn't have that drop-down menu headed by her Wiki ID McClellan-217?  I think that is because her privacy level is Red.  What I've seen is that the none of the most private privacy levels have that menu available from the public view of the profile.

Yes, that's what I meant, I don't remember not seeing that before, and I think I remember reading something about non-members being able to create profiles in the past, and wondered if there was a connection. Maybe I'm not really awake yet!

I've learned recently that the absence of that menu item means she is not linked to any family tree.

otherwise, the WikiTree ID number is in the Browser URL Address bar.

That's not why she has no ancestors. She has no ancestors because she didn't enter them.

Having no ancestors is why she has no menu with her ID.

Yes, she does. "McClellan-217 created 8 Jan 2012." in the coloured box.  You placed a public comment on her profile 30 days ago.
