Image Upload Features I thought would be helpful someday... future

Thank you for this wonderful community.

I am new and I have the impression there are several platforms..

I am using Chrome on windows 10.

I had two things that seemed to slow me down in wanting to add some photos I had scanned in.

1. In the Add an image page, there is a button to select the file to upload, any way to have a drop box, to drag from file manager??

2. In the page that finilized the photo addition.. you can add other items, or other persions in the photo, sometimes the list has many ancestors with the same name, I have not memorized the ID numbers.. could you add more info the the selection list? like date of birth, middle inital? just to help so I don't select the wrong ancestor.

For some reason when I hover over the list, I do not see and change or information, I am using chrome on a windows machine... Do I need a chrome extension pack or something to have this feature?

Check your settings (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Settings) and see if the "Disable profile previews" box is checked.

You and your team are doing great, this is just my little obseravation.. I cant spell..

I looked at the setting on the link you provided, and yes My default was to disable the profile preview.. so I toggled it to off.

I tried to find the setting with the google search for the help section and it came up empty...

now when I hover over the hyperlinked highlighted IDs yes a preview comes up..

I am talking about the list of watchlist IDs in a selection window at the lower left of the page to finialize adding an image. Those are not hyperlinked, only a check box, then the last, first and ID number are displayed.. Hovering add nothing on my screen for those names.

Just above where you could note the location of the image.

Hmmm, can't copy or paste in this window..

Hi Richard! For #1, on the "upload image" screen you can drag and drop the image file onto the green "choose file" button.
