New member introducing myself

Question

hit a brick wall with my grandpa. the story is he changed his first name when he was young. now we are stuck in the family tree because we don't know how to find him. the first 17 years of his is a mystery to us all.  we show his birthplace in 2  places. i have come across 3 different possibilities for what his mothers name is.  i'm just stuck.
