Carol Baldwin is a Wonderful WikiTreer

Question

Some while ago, it was discovered that President Franklin D Roosevelt and Vice President Eldridge Gerry had common ancestors from Europe.   But, because of name variations, etc, there were a lot of mistakes on WikiTree. 

Carol has done incredible research and is slowly working through those families correcting errors, adding missing children, and just being VERY thorough.   She has come up against PPP'd profiles and lots of complicated relationship changes.   She has stayed in close contact during all these changes and I appreciate her dedication to accuracy and collaboration.

Thank you, Gillian! So great to hear from you, my England Team friend! I am sad that we have to 'compete' during the Source-a-thon now that you are a Wizard of Aus and I am a Mighty Oak; however, everything we do adds collectively to the tree.

I could not have done this with out the support of several people who have 'gone to the mats with me' on cleaning up and adding to the Walton/Roosevelt line with a few Beekmans and Gerrys along the way!

Thank you, Robin, for your dedication, help and support. This has taken a Wiki-village and also includes kudos to Jillaine (PGM for Thomas Lawarence), Ellen Smith for her support with the Netherlands group, and Chase Ashley and Joe Cochoit for helping me to track down sources in the late days of June 2020 to dig up some resources. Robin, your mention of Elbridge Gerry led me to one of the Walton/Thompson clan and they are all connected. It's now going back and adding all the Walton kin, who are interesting interesting in their own right.

I'll be posting the 'line' from Thomas Lawrence to FDR this week as the bios and sourcing are near complete so that M Cole can add stickers (much appreciated). This revised connection also makes FDR a direct descendant to Charlemagne through Thomas Lawrence.

OMG! Robin Lee! THANK YOU  so much for the Superstar badge! I just completed my Saturday morning Zoom healing meditation group with a number of my nurse colleagues. I was about to send M Cole the linkages from Thomas Lawrence down through to FDR and what to my wondering eyes should appear? A Superstar badge! From you! This work has been a collective labor of love for correct genealogy and informative (and accurate) linkages, biographies and sourcing. Oh...and BTW...did you know that the term "Gerrymandering" was brought to us by VP Elbridge Gerry? Yup! He implemented redistricting back in the day. I've learned a whole lot rewriting bios and inline sourcing! History marries genealogy (and vice versa)!
