Just discovered this on a whim while doing a random search on Familysearch.com for an 6X grandfather in Germany to see how hard it would be to find someone without Ancestry or any of that stuff. I've done a lot of digging and will start putting stuff on here. Please be patient waiting for sources from me. I have a lot of first hand and a lot of uncooperative relatives, but I'll do my best.
Originally from Indiana, most of my relations seem to come from UK, western Europe, and migrated in from the Carolinas, Maryland, Rhode Island, and Virginia territories to the Midwest, mostly Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Arkansas.
What I'll be looking for the most seems like photos and portraits (obviously, don't we all), service records, and grave markers.
I'll also at some point put up my wife's fairly detailed tree at some future time, but let's get my mess of a tree in order first.
