Hello Kenneth,

As administrator of the Harvey project at FTDNA I am not aware of any of our 350+ members who specifically mentioned Devon as their origin but that does not rule out the possibility some do have Devon ancestry.

If you are interested we could continue this via private message.   Bill

I know this was posted a while ago but I was just looking, yesterday, at Harveys from Devon.  There are a substantial number.   The particular Harveys I was looking at, are in the Devon/Dorset/Somerset border area, not in the Dartmoor border area exactly.  But I have seen some from Teignmouth, e.g.  If any interest, I'll pull together what I have.

BTW, a lot of Devon/Dorset wills that might have been helpful were destroyed in WWII.  Some do survive and the Wilshire and Swindon archive, digitised now by Ancestry.
