Hi l am looking for the family of Mary Ellen Fernley my Great Grandmother. Born about 1862 Saint Helen's Lancashire  UK Married Richard  Hargreaves 1886 Blackburn Lancashire uk He was the coachman for the Trappes Lomax family of Clayton Hall Clayton Le Moors Lancashire uk I can trace him back but she is a brick wall. I know the names and birth  dates of all 7 of her children Have found her on census records But there seems no way to find out about her birth family. I have been told she might have been hidden because of her gypsy heritage. Her family lived in barrel top wagons in Ireland. Not sure when but was told it was one of my great + grandmothers who lived this way. I am not well up on how to do this I feel compelled to find this particular line of my Ancestry but cant get anywhere. It is making me frustrated and nearly give up but l would so like to find them. Apparently  l look just like her and none of the other family do. No one left alive to ask. The foolishness of youth eh? Old and decrepit now as well as clueless. Have just done a dna test not sure if that will help. Any pointers as to how to proceed would be great. Thanks for reading this, Cheers
