I am searching for assistance in tracing descendants of Richard Ramsbottom (1795-1875)   who married Anna Cox (1828-1870) and then changed his name to Richard Ramsbottom-Isherwood c1863

Hi Neville, I’m sure you’ve found out what you needed to know already, but I suspect we are related- I’m a direct descendent of Anna and Richard. I believe that the pair’s eldest son was called James Clarendon Ramsbottom Isherwood (born 1845), who married a Mary Jane McCormack and emigrated to New Zealand in 1866. James had a brother called Charles Edward- about him I know very little.
