Text has disappeared

Question

Another used just added a spouse to this profile. Looking at the profile, I notice that all the text has disappeared. Looking at the change log, no changes have been made to the text since the last change made, on 30 Aug of this year, but all the changes made since July 3 are gone.

As C-H says, probably a bug because of the recent code changes.

According to the profile's changes log, a spouse was added to William's profile yesterday. But, if you see the "Change Details" page, most of the text was deleted.

Try "restoring data as it was 15:07, 30 August 2020". The text that was there will come up again.

Edited to add: It'd be better not to touch it and report it in the other said G2G post.

The fix for this was done last night, so hopefully it shouldn't happen again. Luckily it was caught pretty quickly.

Private Message that user and ask him why he removed it all.  It might just have been an error.

The Change log just shows that it was there, and then when he changed it, it was gone.

This sounds very similar to the bug reported at https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/1110112/background-code-changes-noticing-any-problems?show=1110478#a1110478, so you should probably add the issue to that thread as it was likely to be the system not the user that removed the text.

Wow.  That is exceptionally bizarre, and frightening since it appears to have just happened randomly.  I wouldn't touch it and report it to info at wikitree.com as it definitely needs to be sorted out.

it does look like the bio was deleted, but you can just restore it to a previous date.
