Why do you want to be unsubscribed?

Go to the "My WikiTree" menu and choose "Settings"... there in the "EMail" section, you can control how much email you get.

In addition... when responding to questions on this forum... be sure to uncheck the "Email me" box

Unfortunately, this site is not like a mailing list, where you can unsubscribe.

Fortunately it is not a mailing list site BUT given the volume of notices that arrived from WT when I first started and didn't know how to opt out of various services, I was overwhelmed at first ... Think paring down the Tags followed helps the most

It is exactly like a mailing list. It has an unsubscribe link at the bottom of the messages. This site is the only site of very many I have seen that makes it very difficult to use the link in the message to find where to unsubscribe from. For many sites it is simply a matter of clicking on the link in the message.
