 in Athol,Worcester,Massachusetts, & Rachel Waite formerly Bement B.1742

 in Northfield,Litchfield,Connecticut.

I know there was another Gad Wait - of Hatfield - who, I believe, was Jeremiah's brother. I think this is where some of the confusion in past research has come from.

Ashfield Marriages has recorded the publishment of intention of marriage between Gad and Phebe Yeomans 10 April 1788.  "....both of Ashfield".  Massachusetts Town and Vital Records, 1620-1988, page 213.

Thank you for the information regarding Gad Wait. I'm working on establishing his somewhat confusing connection to Thomas Waite of Portsmouth Rhode Island due to  the other Gad Wait you mentioned above. He is my third G. Grandfather.

I don't know if this text will help you further.  Nathan born Feb. 15, 1711- who you have listed as the father of Jeremiah, (grandfather of Gad) is noted below.  There is more in this text on their lineage.  I marked the two pages that seem to connect.
