See https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1872/03248/2190187.pdf  , occurs 3 times on the top row of births (John Dennis).

It looks like "Goland" in Castlederg, Co.Tyrone but I could not find any place of that exact name in townland directories.

Is it possible it is a street name?  (One that may no longer exist.)  The entry below has Castlegore, which is a street.

.

ETA - there is a Golan Road.

This information comes from an inquiry I made on Ireland Reaching Out about an ancestor.

" the family appear to have lived in Golan(d) in Ardstraw. There’s 3 Golan townlands in the parish. Golan Adams, Golan Hunter & Golan Sproul"

Ireland Reaching Out https://irelandxo.com/

Is a wonderful free website, with many serious Ireland historians, who have access to records we 'the public' cannot access. No records, no trees, but a place to put your ancestor's stories and ask questions.
