Was Poncha Villa a war?

My great grandfather was captured by a poncho villa during a Mexican American war and was held captured for several months. This account is from my Grandfathers obituary Vincent Marshall Kersey-531, As seen on his wiki page , it gives an account of my grandfathers career and life and mentions my great grandfather Frank Kersey captured and held prisoner. I was wanting a sticker for the war,  was captured and a POW sticker. In order to put info together with war and location, I need to know if there are stickers for this. I believe the time was about 1916.

There's a good chance he was captured in the 1913/4 time frame as in 1912 Ponco Villa and his raiders destroyed the LDS colony Colonia Duaz, Chihuahua, Mexico and situated about 13 miles due south of Columbus, New Mexico, USA which is a border town with Mexico. After the colony's destruction Villa and his gang crossed the international border into downtown Columbus and destroyed the LDS owned businesses / shops. They escaped unharmed. Not so with the colony families. Villa was a large land-owner in Chihuahua and protesting the political decision of Mexican President Diaz to sell tracts of land to the Mormon colonists who were representing many polygamist families back in Utah but needed to either leave the U.S. or break up their families in order for Utah to achieve statehood. Although later LDS colonies were established after the Mexican revolution Diaz was never reoccupied. Today it's a ghost town.
