Nellie Payne Brubaker of Madison WI: where was she from 1908-1923?

0 votes
My great-aunt Nellie (possibly Ellen) Myrtle Payne suffered a lot of tragedy, and in the end seems to disappear from the records from 1908-1923. She had married George Brubaker, and they lived in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. He died in a trainyard accident in 1907. After that she is not found in any records I can locate, except in 1923. In the History of Wood Co. (Wisconsin) 1923 she is named as Mrs. Nellie Lenijske of Madison, Wisconsin. This surname and any variants don't seem to exist. Perhaps a fresh set of eyes could find something on her. Thanks in advance for any help. (Source hyperlinks are included in profile)
