Can I add more Royal Navy ships?

Question

I want to add more modern Royal Navy ships and shore establishments categories to attach to profiles of family members but don't want to interfere with any ongoing projects so I just wanted to check that it was OK to go ahead.  The service record is going into the profiles but I'd like to add the categories in case it's helpful for future projects or research.

Only if  you add profiles. We don't add categories in advance of use any longer unless they are location (regional) categories.

Natalie has made a point that I support. I get very frustrated when I look at a low level (Landing LeveL) category and finding it empty. I think it is a good practice to create your profiles then request a category.

Thanks Steve. I'm familiar with the requirements of low level categories and have read the guidelines for new ships on the Military project pages.  I have added a couple of landing level categories already (universities) which Natalie has reviewed so I'm happy to create these categories myself.  I just wanted to ensure the Military project was not in the process of doing something with modern RN ships.  But I do appreciate your comment Steve.  I have come across a few categories so far which have no text and it seems completely pointless.
