is Record ID Number GED junk?

Unsourced profile has this info:

Record ID Number

Record ID Number: MH:I217

What is this, and can it be deleted?

Yes. I don't see that specifically very much, but when I do, it's referring to the association between this individual and the family members within the GEDCOM file.

It's hard to explain. It's basically residual information within a GEDCOM file that has no value on WikiTree.

I hope I had explained this okay via text... :-)

If you will test it, go to one of your profiles you created and type ~~~~ (four tilde's ) and when those are saved it will give something similar for date and time ... serves rather like a signature and time stamp
