Is there a source for them - even a FindAGrave memorial? If so, a lot of people do enter them on WikiTree. There is a sticker for {{Died Young}}. Was the infant named? Then, I do. If not named, some people do and others do not. I guess it is a matter of personal preference.

I definitely create a profile if the child lived beyond a newborn infant even if he/she does not appear on a census or other record.

I think it's important to add all of the children, even if they died young. It helps in research to distinguish them from others with similar names.

Ok, Thanks for getting back to me!
NP, this is as course as time permits. Otherwise providing the information in the parents' biography field is also helpful.

I always add all children (if sources are avaible) to the tree even if it is a stillborn infant.

Why?

They are part of the family and the second reason is the same as Dina wrote.

They also fill gaps.
Thanks, seems to be a consensus on this one!

See the  Remember the Children page for suggestions on how best to create profiles for babies and children who died young.

Wow, that's a wonderful page.  Some really powerful images and stickers.  Thanks so much for the link!

Thanks for asking this!  I've debated about whether to add every named child, even if they were stillborn or lived just a short time.  I do try to add their information to their parents page, whatever is known.  I also might add the infant if the next child was named the same name, to distinguish between the separate children.  I had wondered if there was a policy or preference with adding children who died in infancy, so searched the topic.  Glad I did. :)
