Anyone heard of a thomas Hawkyns born 1533 in bishops stortford, Hertfordshire is this family of noble background and do they have a pedigree as I'm aware the family owned picotte manor.

Edward Hawkins bought the manor sometime after 1649. Before that it was the Salmon family and before that the Cutt family. see: https://www.british-history.ac.uk/vch/herts/vol3/pp292-306

Apparently his family had land in bishops stortford for 300years prior
If they had land, then maybe there will be some Manorial records relating to it.  https://www.hertsmemories.org.uk/content/category/herts-history/places/manors/manorial-records

The UK National Archive have the will of Edward Hawkins of Bishops Stortford, Gentleman, died 1660.  Free to download at the moment: https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/D846194

Apart from the entry in British History online for Bishop's Stortford the only other reference I have found linking a Hawkins/Hawkyns with Piggotts is the Will of Edward Hawkyns the elder of Stortford which was made 27 May 1659/proved 9 April 1660 in which he refers to the 'manor of Piggott which I late had and purchased of Robert Salmon' which supports the British History online article.

There are no Hawkins/Hawkyns pedigrees in either the Visitation of Hertfordshire or the Visitation of Bedfordshire and there are no early references to the name in the online catalogues of the record offices of Hertfordshire/Bedfordshire.
