Not sure what you mean.
"It is said that Joseph Pitts b c 1700, married Nancy Slaughter who is said to be the parents of Henry, Daniel, Charles and William Pitts of Newberry Co SC. The problem is that much of the information for this story cannot be verified. While Charles Pitts of Surry Co VA did name a son Joseph, there is no evidence that the Joseph in question had a wife named Nancy Slaughter nor evidence that he had any sons. Joseph died in 1789 in VA. To my knowledge there has been no verifiable documentation found to connect the Pitts families of Newberry SC back to any Pitt or Pitts family in Isle of Wight or Surry Co VA."

Are there two Joseph Pitts married to two Nancy Slaughters and has new evidence been uncovered connecting one of them to the Pitts of Newberry Co SC?
My understanding is that the DNA shows the Pitts of Newberry Co SC matching a Pitts family of Essex Co VA and not the Pitt/s of Isle of Wight Co VA nor of Surry Co VA.
