I replied to that comment with an explanation of how merge priority works.

I suggest that you re-propose the merge.

I have tagged this post for Virginia and Southern_Colonies, to get the attention of the two projects that support genealogical research for this place and time period. One of those projects might want to adopt the profile and possibly project-protect it.
