Pvt. Henry Yerden (1838 - 1864) 106th New York. Place of death? “KIA” at Battle of Cedar Creek

Question

YERDEN, HENRY N.—Age, 24 years. Enlisted, August 7,1862, at Morristown, to serve three years; mustered in as private, Co. B , August 27, 1862; killed in action, October 19, 1864, at Cedar Creek,Virginia.

I am not sure what to use as place of death as it has too many options.

Any help in his genealogy would be appreciated.

Note: he has two FindAGrave memorials. Middle initial is “N” not “K” unknown

My great-grandfather was badly wounded at Cedar Creek and somewhere I have a booklet that shows where all the different units were located.  He was with a Pennsylvania unit and I know they fought alongside some Vermonters.  The battle spread over something like ten miles and several towns, and of course he may have been wounded in one place and died in another.

Except “Cedar Creek” is a creek, not a place name.  There was fighting all through the towns of Strasburg, Middletown, Belle Grove, Willow Grove and maybe more.  Unless he was taken to someone’s home and  died there (and there’s a record of whose home it was), I think the only possible location that makes sense is “Cedar Creek Battlefield,Virginia.”
