I would like to start a tree for my friend and then pass it over to her

Hi Anthony, you can start adding a new person and building the tree then you can invite your friend to join WikiTree from the profile you create for her. At the right top of your profile click Add in the drop-down menu click add a new person.

After she has become a member of Wikitree, you can use the Trusted List on the Privacy tab of profiles that you created and add her to those profiles.  There is also a Bulk change if there are many profiles that you want to add her to Trusted List.  Once she is added to Trusted List, you can make her be the Manager and you can stay on the profile or you can remove yourself from the profiles.
