gedcompare file vanished

Question

I worked through over 1500 people, out of 2000 plus,  on my GEDCOMPARE report file and now the report is missing. Will all my work be lost? I can't start over, it's just too much work I had lots of valuable info in my file that would be a great resource to WikiTree. It would be a shame if it were deleted. I was working on my GEDCOMPARE report everyday!
