How does "export gedcom" fonction? [closed]

I wanted to download (export) a gedcom file in simple format  (only genealogical data) of my tree starting with myself . All I receive is a mail with the following address:

https://www.wikitree.com/gedcoms/17523851-f4e391.ged

This is misleading: .ged does not mean here it is a gedom file; it is just part of the address. After connecting to the above mentioned URL I can read all the information, but only save it in .txt format. This is not what I expected to get and useless to work with.....

Any comments or suggestions how to receive or save the data into a real .ged file?

Als je het adres oproept zie je de webpagina met de inhoud van het aangemaakte bestand. Als je op die pagina rechts klikt en "Pagina opslaan als...'' selecteert kun je het bestand met elke willekeurige naam met .ged  extensie opslaan. Default wordt al 17523851-f4e391.ged aangeboden. De pagian is al in correct gedcom formaat.

The generated file (in correct gedcom format) can be saved as 17523851-f4e391.ged (default) or any other xxx.ged name by rightclicking and selecting save as (Firefox)

I use Opera as browser and not Firefox...... In Opera I could save it only at  as .txt file. Now it is fine!

Just rename the file to have a .ged extension.
