Looking for parents of Kathryn Theda Klein Vance of Ohio b: 1 Aug 1913 d: 1 Apr 1973

Question

Kathryn was my husband's great grandmother.  We can't find any additional relatives beyond her husband, Joseph Albert Vance, and children Donald Franklin, Paul Joseph, and John Vance.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks.

That is a link for the name Kathryn Theda Klein born in Ohio from 1911-1915.  She must be one of them.  But that is sort of putting the cart before the horse so to speak.  First, it would be best to develop your own link to her.  In this case, your husband.  Add him as a spouse, add his parents and siblings, their parents and siblings, etc.  Once all of that is done, it will be easier and more likely to determine which Kathryn is his great-grandmother.

I have a large tree build on Ancestry.com and haven't had any luck finding a true match for Kathryn's parents or any siblings.  My husband's family did not grow up knowing her or anything about her or their grandpa/great grandpa.  I spent hours today entering family here on wikitree and there are still no matches.  I've also tried searcing on familysearch.org.  Any further ideas on how I might track her down?  Thanks again.

When I click your profile I see you have entered some family.  What I don't see is any information about Kathryn Theda Klein Vance.  In your question, you stated she is your husband's great grandmother.  So you should enter him as your husband, then his parents, then thier parents, and then you can connect Kathryn Theda Vance.  Then, you will have a basis from which to do further research here on the Wikitree.

I'm not sure why you can't see her.  Do I have some setting wrong.  She was entered yesterday along with a number of relatives on the Vance side.
