Last Day of Month, time and Badges?

I try to get a badge for 100 contributions most months but sometimes get cut off on the last day, and this month not getting my goal because of that. Is there a time zone involved? (I'm on EST). Got a late start unfortunately this month and instead of earning a badge, the month got cut off for me at 8 p.m. So my contributions after that time go toward next month.

Clock ticks over by GMT.

AND since that is midnight GMT, you'll have to figure out if you are east (+)  or west (-) of Greenwich ...

Pacific coast time is - 8 hrs or 4 PM on the Pacific Coast

STANDARD TIME ZONE
Eastern Standard Time EST GMT -5
CentralStandard Time CST GMT -6
Mountain Standard Time MST GMT -7
Pacific Standard Time PST GMT -8

There's two other time zones not listed here

And that is different  for silly time, when what was EST becomes EDT, or GMT-4.
When I was trying to get the badges I worked on a 28day period. I am in Australia and often came a cropper. So I set myself to start on the 2nd day of the month and finish 29th day. Any thing outside those was a bonus, one way or the other.

This is a common grump, Melanie, held by many many many, and is best dealt with Old Adages such as: "Don't sweat the small stuff." and "Go with the flow."

EDIT: laughlaughlaugh

I like your plan, Marion! I've had at least one month where I was pushing towards the 1000 badge, and in the 900's thinking I had one more hour... and then the count would reset. AUGH!

Better to think 2nd to 29th (except for that pesky February) and not get worked up if I haven't hit my numbers by then.
