Hi WikiTreers!

Do you like meeting new people? Do you enjoy helping others? If your answers are yes, then you may be interested in joining the Greeters Project!

What are Greeters? We are the starting point for Guests, Family Members and Wiki Genealogists at WikiTree! We welcome them, direct them to information and resources, and help with questions or issues they may have.

Pre-requisites for joining:

1. Over 18 years old
2. Member for at least 30 days and have at least 100 contributions (non-GEDCOM)
3. Fairly computer literate; able to edit profiles, post messages, and use email
4. Follow the Honor Code when communicating with new members

The Greeters are a fun and friendly gang. They are also very helpful with any questions you don't know how to answer.

You will have a thorough training/shadowing session with a member of the leadership team to learn the ropes. We use a Google Calendar to schedule shifts so you can pick dates and times that will work for you. For communications, we use Google Groups.

Hi to the Greeters Team

I'm interested in joining the Greeters Team, but not sure if I have enough experience. I'm fairly new around here but remember what a warm welcome I got at the start. I am enthusiastic, but will need some training.

i am on line doing other wikitree duties on tues 9pm -10pm uk time

wed 8-9pm uk time

sat 8-9pm uk time

I would be more than happy to greet new comers to wikitree while I am on line

I would love to join the greeters! I've been with Wikitree since 2016, and though there's always more to learn, I've learned a lot in the 4 years I've been involved, and have been honored to be part of such a wonderful group. Thanks for this opportunity!
