How do i block tags?

How do i block tags? I added "France" and "french_roots" to my interests since i'm researching my French ancestors in Brittany. But i get a lot of unrelated emails, particularly with the tags "Quebecois" and "Acadians".

I have no interest in following those tags. I have no family nor ancestors in the area. I checked the France project page and these are "recommended", "related" projects, but i have never signed up.

It´s really annoying. Can someone help me?

Laura,

Are you referring to emails received because you are a member of the France project Google group? The France project account is following the "quebecois" and "acadians" tags, because a lot of their activity is close to France (these projects cover people who were either born in France or were 2nd or 3rd generation French descendants and most of the interest is on the migrating ancestors - born in France - and their own ancestors).

We could remove these tags from the project account's followed tags, if most members feel it is not necessary or useful to follow them. Would you care to post to the France Project Google group to get a feel if this would be supported?

Feel free to contact me privately if you need more help.
