In the old Irish language, what did Ui and Mor mean when used in names?

I've found two answers for Ui (Dynasty of and wife of) but I'm working with males.

Mor is more elusive.

Help on these 'names' would be appreciated.

"Quick and Easy Gaelic Names" (which is aimed at medieval or pre-1600 reenactors) indicates that means "male descendant". It is most familiar from feminine clan bynames, which take the form X inghean Uí Y, meaning "X, daughter of a male descendant of Y".

The same article indicates that Mór is a byname meaning "big".

Wonderful... I am keeping this website for future use.  I may even make a print out for my own personal research catalogue.

Have a blessed day,
