I have no idea what the OVB means, but SA in this case is South Australia.  (I have also seen the OVB attached to Gawler, Sth Aus.)

The OVB might be something related to a gedcom import, because it was on other profiles (and subsequently removed).

It may also be something specific to Sth Aus, for which we'd need someone up on things South Australian.

.

ETA - it may be something specific to the "KHH ancestor upload.ged" - because that's where I'm seeing it.

Never heard of it in relation to Riverton or Gawler.or anywhere in SA, which is where I live.
Thank you. I tend to agree - it may be related to the GED import. thank you everyone for replying so promptly.

If you google for it, you'll find Wikitree results and myheritage results that show its use.  The WT results I checked had it, since removed, and my very small sampling showed they were imported by the KHH ged I posted earlier.  It was this that makes me believe it is ged specific.

Saw SA OVB on other websites so it is common enough "out there".

Meaning is not defined -- or more accurately there's maybe as many as a dozen definitions of what OVB means
It’s probably abbreviations of family names

Like Overton, V and B

Thank you Marion for your replies. I actually have a Overton on my fathers side, no idea where the name originated. Have you any idea?
