Hi,

I am not pre-1500 qualified, but there is a source on Bruce-2679's profile that also includes source for his wife Barbour-327 if someone with the ability to do so could get that put in her sources she will  be no longer sourceless. Thank you!

I added tags for Scotland and Medieval to bring your post to the attention of more members.
Darlene, thank you! That did the trick!

I found a source in the Book of Bruce. I fixed up the profile a little. Let me know if you need more.

Thank you Beth. I will check it out!
I like the Book of Bruce and am glad your brought that to everyone's attention.  I did not see any primary sources in that book.  I checked  several publications, Burke, Paul, etc. but found nothing.  I'll keep my eyes open though.

In the mean time, I formatted the  citations a bit and marked the profile 'unsourced.'  I noticed a reference to Burke's Peerage but no page number.  The 107th edition has no online images available but the 77th and 102nd (amongst others) are available . . . unfortunately, I did not see Lucas Bruce as mentioned in the profile.  Maybe someone can check the 107th edition.

Hi Julia,

The Peerage is fine for providing suggestions for possible research, but is not in itself considered a reliable source. The source which it cites in this case appears to be a clan website which in turn gives it's source as stirnet, a genealogy website that also does not appear to be sourced. So technically speaking, Bruce-2679 also needs to be sourced. If you can find a source other than the Peerage, I'd be happy to add it for you.

Thank you Jen, I should have gone further then the first link, I will see what I can find and get back to you!
I added a free url for The Book of Bruce and made it an inline source.
Marty thank you!
Actually, the Peerage by Cokayne is considered reliable. Burkes Peerage is not considered reliable at all.
Laura, it was Burkes Peerage that was being used as a source, not Cokayne.
Thank you,  Jen for the clarification. That was not clear and was the only reason I said something.
