How can I add a source to a private profile?

+3 votes
One of my unsourced profiles is also a private one, so I cannot add the source to it.  Is there a way around that? It is for Oakes-1610 and here is the source:
* "United States Census, 1920," database with images, FamilySearch ( : 13 September 2019), Pennsylvania > Philadelphia > Philadelphia Ward 39 > ED 1390 > image 44 of 50; citing NARA microfilm publication T625 (Washington, D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.).

I also ran across a person born in 1870 that was locked and couldn't be edited. I wrote to the profile manager, but haven't heard anything yet.

Leave the details and links in the comments at the bottom of the profile.

Also send the profile manager a private message - they can add  the details to the profile, after they have confirmed them.

Should the Profile Manager choose to not respond, there is not too much else you can do.

Except perhaps to follow the Problems with Members process. Link below

Follow Unresponsive Profile Managers and profiles will be orphaned and then you can add the sources, as long as they are not living profiles which would be deleted.
